Uluru is a large sandstone rock formation that appears out in the middle of no where in central Australia, in the Northern Territory, and is considered a great natural wonder of the world. Located in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, 350 km southwest of Alice Springs.. 

Uluru is the Aboriginal name for what is most commonly known as Ayers Rock, and is a sacred part of Aboriginal creation mythology,  or dreamtime - reality being a dream. 

Uluru is notable for appearing to change colour as the different light strikes it at different times of the day and year, with sunset a particularly remarkable sight when it briefly glows red



It is a Desert climate
March - August

September - February
average temperatures range from approximately 
22 degrees Celsius (72 degrees Fahrenheit) in winter to 
35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) in summer

Nights and mornings during winter are cold.

Daytime temperatures during summer can exceed 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).

Sunscreen and a Hat are essential.
